TIP
  • Be very careful how you use credit cards. The convenience of a credit card makes many people think they’re not really “buying” or “spending” – they’re just “charging.” But not only do credit card transactions need to be paid back, there are also interest charges added on unless you pay the entire amount by the due date.

“Did You Know?”
A Check/Debit Card looks just like a credit card and is usually honored at the same businesses that accept credit cards, but there’s an important difference between it and a credit card. A credit card allows you to “float” the amount you “charge” – that is, you don’t have to pay until you receive a statement from the credit card issuer. With a debit card the funds are instantly debited from your account.
